The NLK Group Sdn Bhd company formally established in the early of 80’s, the founder, Hj Mohamad Azlan inherited the recipe from their ancestor and started with a single entity catering on the northern part of Malaysia, where the first restaurant located at Kompleks Peruda building. Together with the passion and indulged in the joy of cooking amongst the family, Nasi Lan Kedah now has becoming one of the iconic restaurant and a classic example of a successful eatery business in Malaysia.

Our Story


The Nasi Lan Kedah Company Was establish in the early 80’s by Mohd Azlan Bin Jamal who has business experience of 37 year where’s his son, Muhammad Firdaus Bin Mohd Alan, 28 years and Nur Farahin Binti Mohd Azlan, 23 Years old, have between them 2-4 years food Business experience


Mohammad Azlan, the founder inherited the Nasi Kandar recipe of from his parent and in the beginning started a small business at complex Perniagaan Peruda, in Alor Setar in 1982. While his son Muhammad Firdaus, saw his father has potential to grow bigger. Together with his passion for foods Firdaus, Took a brave step to expend his father business, where he opened up three branches in Seksyen 16, Shah Alam, Presint 15, Putrajaya and Bandar Sri Permaisuri, Cheras and currently managed by his two children.

Traditionally, the specialty of NLK ‘Nasi kuning’ is always served with its well-known side dishes “Sotong Kembang” on a single plate and it still continues in these days.” Nevertheless, the mix of curry sauce with sevedifferent flavors is always poured directly onto the rice which make the taste is unforgotten.
